Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 31, 2024 (Effective Date)
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the FinancialWell application (“Application” or “App”) developed by Gergely Mancz (“Developer”) and outlines how we handle personal data, including collection, processing, and storage practices.
By using the Application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Application.
1. Scope and Roles
1.1. Scope
-
This Privacy Policy applies to the FinancialWell application and any optional services or features provided within it.
1.2. Developer’s Role
-
The Developer does not collect, process, or store any personal data you enter into the App. All financial data you input is stored on your personal device and/or your personal iCloud account, if you choose to enable backup functionality.
-
Because the Developer does not access or process your data, the Developer does not act as a data controller or data processor under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1.3. User’s Role
-
You, as the user, are solely responsible for the data you enter into the App and for deciding if and when to back it up to your iCloud account. You maintain complete control and responsibility over any data you store or delete.
2. Data Collection and Use
2.1. No Data Collection
-
FinancialWell does not collect or transmit any of your personal or financial data to the Developer or to third-party servers.
-
The Developer does not have remote access to your device data or your iCloud data.
2.2. Location Data (Optional)
-
The App may request access to your location for certain features (e.g., location-based spending suggestions).
-
If you grant permission, location data is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to the Developer or to any third party.
-
You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device’s settings. If you do not grant permission, location-based features may be limited or unavailable.
2.3. Third-Party SDKs
-
Occasionally, you can send bug reports to the developer. When submitting a bug report or crash log, you may be able to edit or review the report content before sending it to the Developer. These reports typically contain only technical metadata (e.g., device model, OS version) and no personal/financial information.
2.4. Freemium Model
-
FinancialWell is provided as a Freemium service and offered “AS IS.” The free version may include limited features, while certain premium features may be available through in-app purchases or subscription plans. None of these transactions grant the Developer access to your financial data.
3. Data Storage and Retention
3.1. Local Device Storage
-
All financial data you enter is stored on your personal device by default. When you uninstall the App, the local data is deleted from your device.
3.2. iCloud Backups (Optional)
-
If you enable iCloud backup, your data is stored securely in your personal iCloud Drive.
-
The Developer has no access to your iCloud Drive or the data within.
-
If you wish to delete your backups, you must manually remove them from your iCloud Drive.
3.3. Data Retention
-
The data remains on your device and/or iCloud for as long as you choose. You have full control over deletion at any time.
4. Your Rights (GDPR and Other Regulations)
Although the Developer does not act as a data controller or processor with respect to the data you enter into the App, you still have important privacy rights:
-
Right to Access: You can view and manage your data directly within the App or via iCloud if you have backups.
-
Right to Rectification: You can edit or correct any data entries directly in the App at any time.
-
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”):
-
Uninstalling the App deletes your local data.
-
Deleting your iCloud backup is your responsibility and must be done in your iCloud Drive.
-
-
Right to Withdraw Consent: If you previously granted location access, you can revoke it in your device’s settings at any time.
-
Right to Restrict or Object: If for any reason you believe your rights are infringed, you can stop using the App or remove your data.

Please note that since the Developer does not store or process your data, the Developer cannot fulfill requests to edit or delete data on your behalf. All data management is handled directly by you, on your device or in iCloud.
